After being summoned, Yesu wa Tongaren, also called Eliud Wekesa, showed up at the police station today to cooperate with questioning.
Following a summons from Bungoma police commander Francis Kooli, he found himself in the aforementioned situation.
Allegations regarding questionable religious practices prompted Kooli to summon the head of the New Jerusalem church for questioning.
The individual preaching as Jesus Christ appealed to the Police to show leniency, emphasizing that he only shares the teachings of God.
