Kilifi County commander presided over the Kilifi, Tana River and Lamu Counties joint thanksgiving prayer service for Uniformed Disciplined Services in Malindi sub-county.
The uniformed started their Thanksgiving march at Malindi Police station heading to the venue.

The event that takes place every year is put together by the Chaplaincy of the Uniformed and Disciplined Services. Participating organizations include the Kenya Police, Kenyan Prisons, Administration Police, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Kenya Wildlife Service, Kenya Forest Service, and the National Youth Service.
On duty or off duty, a police officer in uniform serves as a prominent symbol of the government and must maintain a high level of self-discipline and professionalism.
