Why Raila Cannot Accept That Ruto Defeated Him. Repeatedly, Azimio leader Raila Odinga has proclaimed that he will refuse to acknowledge William Ruto as the President of Kenya, even if he is declared the winner by IEBC and if his election is affirmed by the supreme court.
IEBC chairperson, Wafula Chebukati announced Ruto as the new Head of State after he bested Raila by a margin of only two hundred thousand votes. The IEBC results indicated that Ruto garnered 7.1 million while Raila obtained 6.9 million votes.
Despite the controversy surrounding the 2022 election results, Odinga maintains that he decisively defeated Ruto. He alleges that the former IEBC chairperson, Wafula Chebukati, and two other commissioners colluded to steal his victory.
The Azimio team has been continuously claiming that, as per the results provided by an IEBC whistleblower, Odinga won over Ruto by a margin of 2 million votes during their rallies.
Azimio la Umoja is advocating for the forensic audit of the servers that contain the 2022 presidential polls results inside the IEBC portal. According to their perspective, this will help unveil the truth and satisfy the curiosity of Kenyans.
Azimio verified that the protest they organized was due to this, which resulted in loss of life, property damage, and disrupted the peace and stability of the nation.
In an interview with TV 47 yesterday night, Steve Juma, a specialist in politics and governance, has placed culpability on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission for the present state of affairs in the nation.

According to Steve, Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio la Umoja, is unwilling to accept Ruto’s victory because he has not been given access to the servers holding the election results.
In an interview with TV 47, Steve Juma blamed IEBC for the current chaos, stating that Raila Odinga refuses to acknowledge his defeat unless the servers are inspected.
