Raila Visits Pastor Ezekiel Odero –Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio, made a trip to Mavueni in Kilifi County over the weekend to visit Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the New Life Church.
Accompanied by Governor Gideon Mung’aro and Woman Representative Gertrude Mbeyu, Odinga paid a visit to the preacher.
The list includes some more individuals who hold the position of a Member of Parliament, including Amina Mnyazi (MP of Malindi), Harry Kombe (MP of Magarini), Paul Katana (MP of Kaloleni), and Ken Chonga (MP of Kilifi South).
For the preacher, it’s a momentous occasion as he meets some distinguished guests after being freed by the court.
Shanzu Senior Principal Magistrate Joe Omido granted Odero a bond of Sh3 million, which required a surety of the same amount, or alternatively, a cash bail of Sh1.5 million. The release was authorized on Thursday, May 4.
Pastor Ezekiel Odero had been taken into custody and brought before a judge following the Shakahola massacre , during which more than 100 corpses have been uncovered and 61 people have been saved to date.
After Mzee Daniel Mwachiru Korokoro’s burial in Chonyi, Kilifi South, Raila Odinga paid a visit to the preacher.
In the year 1969, Mr Mwachiru was arrested together with Jaramogi Oginga Odinga. Raila Odinga praised him as a genuine patriot.
