The cancellation of Monday and Thursday protests was the result of a clandestine meeting between Ruto and Raila, the details of which are only recently being revealed to the public. This impromptu gathering proved fruitful in establishing a truce between the two opposing parties.

Reports suggest that only three individuals, namely Kithure Kindiki, Kipchumba Murkomen, and Aaron Cheruiyot, were informed about William Ruto’s plans. These individuals belong to William Ruto’s camp.
In Azimio’s side. TheFormer Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s running mate Martha Karua and Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka were the only two individuals who had knowledge of his plans.
