In Sikata, on the outskirts of Bungoma, a church was bustling with devout worshippers participating in a prayer regimen.
The presiding pastor was summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officers for questioning, but chose not to surrender. Kooli shared that they had begun a search for the pastor.
Despite our efforts to reach out, he remains unavailable, confirmed Kooli. If his absence persists, we may have to resort to alternative measures in order to locate him.

The Presiding Pastor of New Life International Church (Bungoma) was instructed to appear at the DCI offices by the police who visited the establishment on May 10th, which happened to be a Wednesday.
The preacher, who worked under the controversial pastor Ezekiel Odero, was believed to be in hiding. The County Commander mentioned that they were pursuing significant leads that would result in the preacher’s discovery.
According to him, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation’s forensic experts were in the process of hunting him down.
People residing in the vicinity of Bungoma’s New Life International Church were questioned by detectives. The neighbours revealed that the church was recently established, only two months ago.
According to the neighbours, there were only ten devoted members of the Church, consisting of the pastor and his household.
It has been advised by the police, in accordance with the feedback received from the residents, that landowners in Western Kenya should be cautious while renting out their property to pastors as numerous churches in the region are not properly registered.
On the 11th of May, the Bungoma Police presented Eliud Wekesa, also known as Yesu wa Tongaren, to court. Wekesa claims to be a Messiah.
