• Designer has been charged with indecent exposure – Desiigner faces an indecent exposure charge after admitting that he exposed himself during a flight from Japan.
U.S. Attorney for Minnesota Andrew Luger stated on Monday (April 24), as reported by Fox 9, that charges have been filed in the case whereby the Panda rapper is accused of exposing himself on more than one occasion while sitting in the Delta One cabin on a flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis. The case is currently being handled by the state.
Following the events, Desiigner allegedly received a violation notice from the FAA and relocated to the back of the aircraft, where he was supervised by two companions. Upon arrival, he was taken into custody and questioned by the FBI.
If found guilty, the Brooklyn resident charged with indecent exposure on an aircraft could face a three-month prison sentence and a $500 fine. The accused has not yet been given a court date, but one is expected to be scheduled soon.
Desiigner made public his intention to seek treatment at a mental health facility after an incident, as was reported before.
On April 20th, he wrote on Instagram, claiming that he has been struggling for quite a few months now and is yet to come to terms with his situation. During one of his performances abroad, he was admitted to the hospital and suffered from unclear thoughts.
With a shaky voice, he spoke, The medication they gave me had taken effect when I left on the flight back home. I wish to apologize for my behavior on that plane. I have since returned home and decided to seek professional help for my mental health. To ensure that I am able to focus on my recovery, I will be cancelling all of my upcoming performances and obligations until further notice. Mental health should not be taken lightly, and I ask that you all keep me in your prayers. “Seek assistance if you are not experiencing your usual self.”
Desiigner decided to end his brief hiatus by introducing his latest single, Bigger, at the beginning of the year.
