PS Esther Ngero resigns – Esther Ngero, Principal Secretary for Correctional Services, has resigned from her position due to personal reasons, which President William Ruto accepted on Tuesday, May 23.

The Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary recently transferred the former PS from the State Department for Performance Management and Delivery Services to the State Department for Correctional Services. Felix Koskei, the Head of Public Service, signed the statement that announced this reassignment.

Ngero received recognition for creating the necessary foundation to enforce the execution of Public Service Performance Management and Monitoring among Ministries, State Departments, and State Agencies (MDAs).

In part, the declaration stated that the Leader of the Nation expressed appreciation to Ngero for her contributions towards the country’s progress and extended his good wishes for her upcoming ventures.

Having been trained as a certified accountant, Ngero’s career in the petroleum industry spanned almost twenty years before being appointed as a Principal Secretary in December 2022.
