While in an interview with Tuko Extra Bensoul made it clear that he has no intentions of renewing his contract with Sauti Sol’s Label citing the need for self growth and development as the main reason. The ‘Extravaganza’ hit maker’s departure from Sol Generation is thus Imminent. He will be leaving the Sol Generation founded by Sauti Sol after a five years contract deal ends because he thinks that he is currently in a position where he needs to be independent and create his own empire. He revealed that his contact with Sol Generation is coming to an end and there is need for self growth. Comparing his situation with that of a lion Club, he noted that he is ready to explore the industry on his own.
Talking to Tuko Extra, Bensoul literally compared his life in the label as that of a Lion club and argued that a time comes when a male club hits a certain age and the lions break away from the group to go and feed themselves,” When I compare my life to that of a lion in the jungle, when a male club hits a certain age, they are chased away from the group to go and fend themselves. The hit maker praised the Sauti Sol’s label for giving him an opportunity to be part of the award-winning label. He stated that,” It’s a beautiful thing that we have been together and build such a beautiful empire and it’s also amazing that upcoming artists will find space to join Sol Generation.”
Notably Bensoul was one of the earliest artist to be signed to the record label when it was launched in 2019.Since then he has been involved in numerous productions by Sol Generation including ‘Extravaganza’ and ‘Ukiwa Mbali’.
