Popular car dealer Khalif Kairo is in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons after a buyer’s car was forcefully taken back by auctioneers from their workplace. The drama unfolded after a failed deal at Kairo’s Nairobi-based car dealership, where customers claim they were tricked into buying cars tied to debts. Khalif Kairo Car Fraud.
The buyer, who bought a 2014 Volvo V40 on October 19, 2024, believed the transaction would go smoothly. Kairo’s team promised that the vehicle’s ownership documents would be transferred without issues. However, things quickly went wrong when it was revealed that the car was connected to an unpaid debt.
Despite many promises from Kairo’s team that the problem would be fixed, the situation took a sharp turn on December 18. Auctioneers arrived at the buyer’s workplace and seized the car, leaving them shocked and embarrassed.
The buyer says that Kairo and his staff kept claiming the debt had been paid. Even after several confrontations, Kairo promised to sort everything out by December 20 but went silent soon after.
This isn’t Kairo’s first time in trouble. Earlier in the same month, he was arrested and held at Kasarani Police Station. He was accused of taking millions from a customer who paid for high-end cars that were never delivered. Kasarani Sub-County criminal investigations officer Justus Ombati confirmed the arrest and said more complaints from angry buyers were being investigated.
Despite these issues, Kairo brushed off the accusations on social media. “Every big entrepreneur must face problems like this, especially when God is raising you to new levels,” he wrote confidently.
As more customers come forward with similar complaints, the case against Khalif Kairo continues to grow. Stay updated with TuVibe as this story unfolds.
