The 7th installment of one of the biggest art events in Kenya is going down on 11th of March, 2017 from 11am to 8pm, at the Arboretum Grounds– Nairobi. Advance tickets are available online on E-ticket Kenya- bit.ly/CakeArtAffair-Tickets or at Cold Stone Creamery Kenya – Mama Ngina & Westlands outlets at Kes. 500 while tickets at the gate will be going for Kes. 1,000.
When gates open at 11.00am, attendees will be able to sample over 70 different cake flavors and meet young home-bakers at twenty (20) Cake display stands throughout the day; additionally, they will get to interact with suppliers of baking accessories around Nairobi. The attendees will also participate in voting for the Best Designed Cake, Best Tasting Cake, and Best Baker Overall. The winning bakers will be awarded with Vouchers, Scholarships and Gift Hampers from our sponsors.
As from 2pm, there shall be Showcase performance, by six (6) up and coming musicians; RecappKE, Lady Kahi, okecc luke, Chiluba Arthur, Meryl Paige, Kapedo Kadima, as well as one Surprise Guest Act. All performances will be Live.
There will be a ‘Secret Art Garden’ which is essentially a space for visual art to be expressed freely in its raw form. There will be hanging displays of paintings and other artworks on trees for viewing and purchase. Attendees will also be allowed to freely experiment with paints and brushes guided by their own creative imagination.
The additional feature for this Affair is that attendees will get to interact and engage with selected Young Entrepreneurs from eight (8) different industries namely; Pastry(Little Cake Girl), Media (Amos Njeru -Campus Icon-Ku Fm), Fashion (Patrick Boro – Pun-tees ke), Finance (Caroline Kishara – Yetun Finance Consultants), Dance/Choreography (gQ dancers), Events ( Tom Olang’o – Jamhuri Festival), Photography (Derek Muriithi) and Visual Arts (Njogu Kuria art) at the Young Entrepreneurs Lounge. Through this, we hope to inspire and encourage young people to be bold enough to relentlessly pursue their passions and dreams.

Cake Art Affair is a bi-annual event that blends the art of baking, live performances and visual arts into an artistic cocktail. Its existence is driven by the need to provide a platform to new, young and upcoming talents to showcase their art.
